Solid gold, covered in glitter, rainbow-cape-wearing, shimmering magnificence.
This is a celebration of our writers, a wow, *look* at what they’ve done hall of fame. I’ve shared every magnificent thing I could find that they’ve written, in the hopes that you’ll find a new read or favourite author as well as some inspiration if you’re not yet published. Come on in…

Over the last decade of retreats and online courses, I’ve been lucky enough to see tiny snippets of hundreds of writer’s lives, and I never fail to be in awe of the amount of work, time and dedication they put into writing. They lose faith in themselves, they fall into gaping plot holes, they get sideswiped by bad feedback, just like the rest of us… but they keep writing, and this treasure trove is testament to that perseverance. The bits of it I get to see are a tiny window into a huge journey
This is a celebration of writers who pour their souls (and sometimes years) into their books. It’s a place to promote them and share every book I can find written by any writer who’d become part of the UWR gang through retreats or online stuff, because every one of them is bloody brilliant.
This is a work in progress because, man, you guys have written a LOT of books, plus I may have lost a few due to tech errors. I promise it isn’t deliberate. If yours isn’t up here or you’d like any changes to your listing (or to have it removed entirely), please just email hello@urbanwritersretreat.co.uk and I’ll sort you out right away.
And if you’re not yet published but would like to be, just remember, every one of these writers was in your position once. Keep writing, keep believing.
Charlie
PS: these are Amazon affiliate links, meaning if you buy from them your price isn’t affected but I will* receive a teeny-tiny fraction of the sale price. And if you’re tempted to send me a grumpy email about Amazon, please… don’t. There wasn’t another resource where I could find all of these books (some of the self-published works are only available on Amazon) and, even taking listings from only one site this page nearly made my head explode.
*theoretically, but in reality only if you guys buy a LOT MORE BOOKS. So feel free to just go ahead and order from your local bookseller instead.
